I appreciate the sentiment, Benji. Here’s what people don’t understand; this is not par for the course where camming is concerned and harrassment is not something that comes with the territory. Lighter forms of this, perhaps, comparable to any internet chatroom (Yahoo, for example) indeed occur. I can’t say with any certainty that it doesn’t ever happen, but I have been camming for 15 years, and in the first 11, have not seen anything even close to this, as far as harrassment. The internet’s proverbial shield of anonymity allows these cowards to get away with their harrassment. This is slowly changing now, with new cases of internet harrassment filed.
In my case, this behavior is coming from someone that wants to see me offline and has made that very clear. They have threatened me, as well as continually try to disrupt my business by harrassing me in my chatroom while I am trying to work. This is business, not personal. This harrassment has been going on for 4 consecutive years now. It all first began in the iFriends forums, as well as my chatroom there and carried on through other platforms I used at the time (like Youtube), and carried on straight through to Streamate (the entire 2+ years I have been on their platform) and hasn’t ceased. When I was on the iFriends platform, they used mostly Youtube’s comments area to criticize my videos and insult me. They created Youtube accounts for this purpose solely. In the iFriends forums, they would find my posts, within minutes of my posting (the time and date were recorded on the posts) with insults and ridiculous remarks, completely irrelevant to anything being discussed. Again, to insult me. In my live room, not so much. After I left iFriends, the harrassment took a new turn; the Youtube insults have completely died down, but now, I am harrassed constantly in my live room.
