Gold Party, Gold Show, oh hell whatever it is …

When I finally had the new feature working, through a troublesome sign-in process, things started to run much smoother and at last, I began to start seeing the kind of traffic I had been missing for a good month now. I selected my settings for the first show with a 30 minute deadline to reach my goal. Failing miserably this first time around, I made up for it pretty good on the second attempt. It wasn’t without its glitches though, as most beta versions are, but overall, I’d have to say it’s a pretty brilliant idea, whoever thought it up. I just hope the success rate on this doesn’t reach cruising altitude, or start to dip, too soon.

For this to be a success with the individual host, we’d need to maintain a good volume of traffic. As the promo hits mainstream, its volume dispurses widely. The only thing that worries me is how they plan to sell this once it’s hit the mainstream. Does the site plan to buy new traffic to maintain this volume now or will they only work to retain existing traffic with this? I’m optimistic about this, but realistic, too. I think it has good potential for both members and hosts, allowing members to pay less for our shows, while, based on volume, the host earns more. A definite win-win situation for all.
